Marlar wheels to ninth in Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway
Taking part in the 16th annual Slocum 50, Mike Marlar joined 30 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Thursday for the $15,555-to-win opener.
With a consolation victory pinning him on the ninth row for the main event, Mike advanced through the field eight spots in the 50-lap affair to register a ninth-place finish.
Both Friday’s event at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) and Saturday’s CMH Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) fell to inclement weather.
Mike remains in fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
