Top-10 finish in Prairie Dirt Classic prelim at FALS
With the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday, Mike Marlar unloaded his Delk Marlar Racing No. 157 Late Model at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 33rd annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend.
In a stout field of 63 cars, Mike’s qualifying effort positioned him on the fourth row for his preliminary feature. Chasing a $5,000 payday and spot into Saturday’s main event, Marlar lost one spot to finish ninth.
Sent into a B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic, Marlar fell short of a transfer position with an eighth-place outing. He elected to scratch from the Prairie Dirt Shootout non-qualifier, ending his weekend early.
