Four Top-5 finishes with LOLMDS at Davenport and Deer Creek

After starting the night off with a heat race win, Marlar was involved in an exciting lead-swapping battle with Hudson O’Neal and Brandon Overton throughout the 50-lap feature. He ended up third when the checkered flag flew, trailing O’Neal and Overton.
On Thursday evening at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) for prelims kicking off the NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 weekend, Mike followed up an eight-lap heat race victory with a fifth-place finish in the 25-lap preliminary.
For Friday’s $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Marlar lost one spot in the 25-lapper to finish fourth.
Locked into the third-starting position for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50 via preliminary points, Mike nosed ahead of leader Brandon Overton on a lap 21 restart but forfeited the top spot few laps later. He went onto place fourth in the 75-lap affair, trailing Overton, Chris Madden, and Tim McCreadie with Ricky Weiss coming in fifth.
