12th-place finish in Knoxville Nationals
Mike Marlar returned to action on Thursday as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) drew 40 competitors to Knoxville (IA) Raceway for the 20th annual Knoxville Nationals.
With dual $7,000-to-win preliminary features on Thursday and Friday setting the stage for the main event on Saturday night, Marlar recorded a pair of 14th-place finish in the 25-lappers.
Locked into the 18th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals on Saturday night, Mike jumped up six spots in the rain-delayed 75-lap affair to finish 12th.
Mike remains in seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
