Mike Marlar grabs seventh-place finish at La Salle during Illinois Speedweek

Starting off the week with FloRacing Night in America, Mike Marlar kicked off the five-day Illinois Speedweek on Tuesday afternoon at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway among a huge field of 49 Super Late Models.

Qualifying fifth-quickest in his stacked group, Marlar picked up a heat race victory and started third on the starting grid. With $20,000 up for grabs, Mike raced to a Top-10 finish in seventh.

Recording a DNF at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) the following night, Marlar had a little more luck on Thursday evening at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway and recorded a 15th-place finish.

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioning the weekend events, Marlar finished 12th in the Farmer City 74 at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway and 11th in the $30,000-to-win Spring Shootout at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway.
