Mike Marlar finishes 11th at I-75 Raceway

After rain washed out racing across the region the previous weekend, Winfield, Tennessee’s Mike Marlar returned to the track for a two-race swing with the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals in his home state.

At I-75 Raceway on Friday, Mike followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a third-to-first run in the B-Main. Nearly cracking the top-10 in the feature, Marlar climbed six positions in the 50-lapper to finish 11th.

For the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial on Saturday evening at Tazewell Speedway, Marlar advanced into the $21,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race win. Starting the feature in seventh, Mike was an early retiree after pulling pitside during a lap-30 caution.
