Pair of podiums at Brownstown and Atomic

After wet weather pushed back Friday’s event to Sunday, Mike Marlar returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the 27th annual Indiana Icebreaker.

With a third-to-first performance in his heat race positioning him on the second row for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Marlar climbed one spot in the 50-lap affair to register a third-place finish.

On Sunday, Mike raced into the Buckeye Spring 50 main event at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) with an eight-lap heat race victory. Starting in fourth, Marlar stole the spot from Jonathan Davenport briefly on lap 15 before handing it back two circuits later. He went onto place second behind Davenport with Devin Moran rounding out the podium.

Mike is currently fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
