Runner-up finish in Spring 50 at Florence

Mike Marlar entered a single event over the weekend with Saturday’s 48th annual Spring 50 at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.).

Aboard the Skyline Motorsports No. 157 Late Model, Marlar followed up a heat race victory with a second-place finish in the $10,000-to-win Spring 50 A-Main. He made a late charge to challenge race-long pacesetter Ricky Thornton Jr. but fell 1.202 seconds short at the line.
